Yes, I have entered my S/N and additionally I resurrected my device and since it was purchased on a secondary old Amazon account I have gone ahead and contacted Amazon and they helped me out with "merging" my two accounts using the "Amazon Prime for Households" so even though the book I am struggling with was purchased on the new/current account which was not used to purchase the Paperwhite I am hoping that now that the two accounts are merged the S/N will work.
